Reviews for AEV Geometry Correction Brackets for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
I am running a 3.5" Quadratec lift. Was having some steering issues and this bracket set up helped quite a bit.
Installed on two different (2-door and 4-door) Jeeps. These brackets are worth their weight in gold!! The difference in steering feel and control is substantial.
The fit and finish of the product is exactly what I would expect from AEV. I have not noticed a vast improvement in handling like some have said. This may be down to my shock/spring setup. It can be tricky to get everything lined up and tightened. Just be patient and follow the instructions.
They are time consuming but easy to install. I never ran the lift without them so I cannot speak to their direct effectiveness. I'm running the Quadratec 2.5" lift with Fox shocks and it drives like a stock vehicle. I like to think that it has something to do with these brackets so it's easier for me to justify the cost. Also, you don't really lose anything in ground clearance, maybe an inch at the control arm mount. Not worth worrying about in my opinion.
The brackets are decently solid and fit well enough. The nuts supplier are not a locking types so not as good as those used on the rest of the suspension. Use thread locker or they will come loose. The kit i received was missing a few washers ( referenced to the assembly diagram ). I will probably replace all the bolts/nuts and washers provided with the kit, with some half pitch threaded bolts, locking nuts and appropriate washers.
Just installed these over the weekend on an 09 with a 2.5 OME lift. There is a noticeable improvement to the handling on the road (no clue off road yet).
Only issue is installing on the passenger side. The top bolt comes out directly into the down pipe of the exhaust. Options are to loosen the exhaust through the wheel well, or to go with my approach and use my 10,000 lb ratchet strap to pull the pipe over enough to get the bolt out. This approach involves a lot of praying that you do not rip the exhaust out. Putting the bolt back in is much easier as you can angle, and then put on the spacer.
Overall, easy install once you get around the exhaust issue, and the drive is greatly improved.
Seemed to reduce the wander.
Quality of hardware(bolts not graded) questionable at best...otherwise good.
