Reviews for Crown Automotive 55254918K6 Original Replacement Style 6 Piece Fender Flare Set for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Fit nicely and was easy to install.
Look and fit was good but the included hardware is not the same as the original
equipment.
Can't speak about the durability and fade resistance, just installed them.
Good quality and fit. Could have used more guidance on what hardware went where.
Okay replacements but not OEM fitment. The sides of the fenders bowed in certain areas when attaching to 2006 OEM mounting points on the TJ. I noticed it, others may not.
You definitely get what you pay for. They're not quite a perfect fit. On both front fenders mine have a gap in the same spot on both sides towards the rear part of the flare. no amount of tightening cures the gaps. It was also somewhat of a fight to line up the holes. The hardware is pretty mediocre. the plastic washers cave in to the point where you can no longer fit a wrench on the bolt. I didn't even receive enough hardware to finish installing the back flares. there's also little imperfections on the edges. Some of which look like like dents the rest is left over material that is very sharp and left little scratches all over my hand. If you still have your factory flares I would recommend painting them as opposed to buying these. I didn't have any flares at all which is why I made the purchase.
Not a perfect fit outward crease push out a bit trying to wrap around fender.
So far so good. They fit and look good, but i am overall unimpressed with Quadratec as they have yet to fill a complete order for me. Abut half of the stuff I order is out of stock and I end up having wait a month for it. A good argument for Amazon.
My kit only came with 6 thread inserts, meaning I had to choose three locations on each side (rear fenders) to thread, I used plastic thread inserts purchased at a hardware store on the other mounting points. I hope they hold. Also, the included thread inserts are the worst type, do some research and buy different ones.
Plastic quality, color and width are fine.
The rear and front extensions fit perfectly, but as reviewers of the same or similar products have written, the fronts do not fit.
The bend on the front pieces appears to be manufactured at the wrong angle. If you bend it into the fender’s slot, all of the holes line up exactly as they should to the millimeter, but it causes the front fender flare to bulge out at the corner and look bad.
