Reviews for DV8 Offroad Billet 6-Speed Shift Knob for 11-18 Jeep Wrangler JK with Manual Transmission
Love it!
A great improvement over the stock knobs -- got both the 6-speed and the 4WD knob. Followed You-Tube directions removing stock knobs - they come off easily with some muscle. See attached picture.
Cool
Great product. Really well made and durable. It should have included a short instruction on installation. With online research I was able to find out that you need to remove the rubber tire wrapping in order to get to the hex screw so you can tighten it up during installation. Afterward you can put the rubber tire wrapping back on the knob.
Great fit and feel, but gets a bit cold in the winter.
Great added look. 100% better than stock, could not be happier. Hardest part was getting the stock knob off the jeep. Change over was less than 10 minutes.
Hard to remove the original.. Good part
Quick and easy install (about 5 mins all up an that includeds removing old one) look and feel great
Very nice. Tough to remove original knobs.
Fantastic quality knob, looks amazing with its transfer case little brother next to it.
Hardest part, as anyone who has done this will tell you, is removing the OEM knobs, which in Chrysler's infinite wisdom are not screw-ons like every other vehicle ever.
I used the strap wrench method and it was very simple, it just required some strength: pull into 2nd gear so the knob is close to and facing you, wrap the strap wrench around the knob and twist fairly hard, flip strap wrench around and twist the other way. Do this a few times in each direction; this will shimmy and bend the plastic clip holding the knob in place. Once you've done this a few times, pull straight back on the OEM knob (with good, constant force) with both hands and it should pop right off.
Don't forget to use Loctite on the allen screw!
