Worked great! It will be helpful to have someone push the shifter down through the rubber floor boot to you. It took me longer to get under the jeep than to get the new clip on the shift arm of the transfer case and get the shifter started over the clip.

It works so that the gear doesnt pull out... but its not snug. And using the rubber isolator is impossible. I tried the suggestion of dish soap and a mallet but there was no way to make that work together. very frustrating. scrapped the rubber isolator and used just clip.
