Did not like this hood latch system. When I installed it it pulled down so tight I had to use a pry at to pop it loose. Sent it back with no problems and chose a different hood lock Quadratec was really good about returning it.

Pro: Good appearance and installation went as expected.
Cons: (1) Not enough adjustment without removing metal on hood or on latch. It was extremely hard to open in cold weather.
(2) Locking mechanism is held with two approximately 4m screws. Screws broke off on last attempt to open. Latch can easily be defeated with a common screwdriver. Photos available.
(3) Key was just a straight shaft with no notches. Sent it back to supplier, replacement was identical. A small blade screwdriver can unlock the cheap lock.

After a year and half, they no longer lock. Worked great for about 6 months... then I had to just wiggle the key a bunch of times to get it in the perfect position to lock/unlock...now its almost impossible to turn the key at all so I keep them unlocked in fear they will freeze in the locked position.

Look fantastic! Feel Great! Don’t fit my Power Dome Hood. The reviewer who mentioned adjustability is correct. Cannot close the latch on its lowest position. Maybe just mine, but I’m not sure these fit Rubicon 10A/X/Hard Rock hoods.

These were such a tight fit it caused rubbing of the paint on our new Rubicon. Ended up having to shave off some metal to make them fit. The lock doesn't work on one. Not worth the cost at all. My mistake, you learn by it!

These hood latches are terrible. Rugged? Yea. Well built? Sure. But the black coating was HORRIBLE. I've went through two sets of these due to the coating coming off. I returned the first set in exchange for the second. The second set is about to be on it's way back to Quadratec as soon as my new set (completely different brand) comes in. If you bought these, Quadratec will make it right. Awesome company!

This product came to me with black paint chipped on edges of hood latches the paint coating on this product sucks the over all product was nice heavy duty but the coating on product got this product one star from me because if am going to pay 100 dollars for these latches they should be perfect when there ship to me very disappointed now i have to repaint them
