Reviews for Seatbelt Solutions Front Metal Push Button 3 Point Retractable Belts for 82-91 Jeep CJ-5, CJ-7, CJ-8 Scrambler & Wrangler YJ
I replaced my original 1987 belts with these. They went on easy and work great. The old belts took about 15 tries to get the locking function to release so you could actually put the belt on. These solved that problem. I also got red, which adds an accent that my wife loves.
Really happy with these seatbelts, they are good quality, the retractor seems just as sensitive as the original seatbelts and they bolted right in to my 1984 CJ-7. I reused my original hardware so I sprayed the original bolts with pb blaster before removing them and then cleaned the bolts with a wire brush to prevent damaging the hardware when installing the new seatbelts. I strongly recommend these.
Fit perfect high quality. Just gotta get used to the new lock mechanism you have to pull the seat belt really slow. Used my stock plastic Buckle holder just had to trim it a little
CJ8 didn't come with a 3 point
Great look. These need hard sleeves for the lower buckle so they stay upright, so don't forget to buy those. Easy install.
Easy install. Decent price. Have held up to summer sun without fading.
I purchased these to install on my 1979 Jeep CJ 5. I thru-bolted the upper section thru the roll bar and everything else mounted easily to the fiberglass tub/seat bolt. Nice quality for the price and I like the classic metal buckle over the plastic ones. Definitely safer than factory lap belts.
Needs to come with new hardware
Not sure what's up with what I received. They latch side is too short and no way to connect seatbelt wire on drivers side. These are maybe 4-5" shorter than the oem in my jeep. They say they are for a 91' but I think the 92' model is the correct belt. My biggest disappointment is Quadratec's return policy. Having to pay return shipping sucks big time... By the time I pay return shipping feels like I could just keep these and try and sell them or something...
Belts are not as smooth as expected. Passenger belt needs to be pulled out very slowly or it locks up. Drivers side is not much better.
