Reviews for Bushwacker 14013 TrailArmor Bug Guard & Tailgate Protector for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Install was simple. On for a month no issues. If it comes off I will probably reinstall. I had the Mopar one and it cracked. The Mopar deflector matched the Weather Tech window vents. This one matches my unpainted fenders.
Only had it on for a month, but install was easy and it looks great. I put it on the first day I got the Jeep. So I don‘t Have a lot of “before and after” perspective. But I highly recommend it. As with any adhesive, a clean surface is required prior to install. The two little alcohol prep pads are insufficient, imo. Recommend spending more time prepping the surface than just two little hands-wipe alcohol pads.
Works great. Does the job of protecting the hood and tailgate. Easy to stall, just take your time.
Another high quality product. Had this on my original Jeep and after seven years they still looked amazing. Bought a new Jerp so of course I bought this same set again!
Easy to install and looks great.
Look good easy to install
Working out well. Clean the surface very well. The back piece has given me issues since installing. Just not sitting flush.
The hood piece has held up great for almost two years. However, the tailgate piece had started coming up and eventually came off and left a whole bunch of sticky residue that I haven’t been able to peel off completely yet. It’d be nice if we could buy just the tailgate piece or at least the same type of adhesive so that it could be reapplied.
So far AWESOME! only reason I left 4 stars is because of the 3M tape. The plastic covering always breaks, maybe its me but I can never get it to pull right off. The part is high quality, and, to me, I think it actually got rid of some of the wind noise at the leading edge of the hardtop. The jeep seems less noisy. Make sure you line everything up right before you pull the tape tabs, you wont get it off to adjust real easy if you don't.
The installation was pretty easy, and the products fit well. It would have been easier to figure out the instructions if they had used color photos--it is a bit more difficult to identify red tape on a black and white photo. Also, they only supply two tiny alcohol wipes to clean the area for the installation. I had to get out a bottle of rubbing alcohol and some paper towels, since you need to clean a fairly large area for the installation.
