Reviews for Smittybilt SRC Side Armor Step for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
This side step is very well built and has a coating that won't allow any rust. I would highly recommend it.
At first I thought it was missing the bolts and then I quickly realized you use the existing ones that are on the vehicle, made it really easy. You can mount it by yourself but much easier is someone else helps. The side steps feel like good quality and heavy duty.
I had removed my stock Rubicon rails the night before in preparation. FedEx delivered at 11:08 and I had them on and was down the road at 11:32. Super simple install, amazing fit, look great!!
Great product
My family has always had a Wrangler, this is my first, and I'm in love.
Ordered these this weekend, got here Wednesday. It took 15min., maybe 20. I'm not mechanically inclined and this was very easy to install, despite Smitty's vauge and unhelpful instructions. If you're a novice like me you'd be able to figure out what to do just looking at it.
Looks amazing. With any luck, their sturdiness won't need to be tested, but they seem like they can take a decent beating.
Thanks Quadratec!
Just got these the other day. They were a piece of cake to install on my 2015 JKRU. Removed the stock sliders and these slid right into place. For someone who has never really worked on cars short of changing a flat tire, it was pretty effortless. They look great and my kids (5 and 9) can now easily climb into the jeep without rubbing their legs on a sometimes dirty vehicle.
Wow, received about 5 days before it was scheduled to be delivered. (No complaint with that). The hardest part of install was removing factory rubicon sliders. After that, way too easy.
Great Product! Just one tip, remove Rock Rails BEFORE installing these side steps! Heavy Duty! 20 minute installation on my 2017 Unlimited.
After 3 years of abuse on rocks, snow, and road salt these rock rails have proven to hold up and be strong. The finish is still good and they have not rusted at all. There was a slight issue when I installed them. One of the bolt hols was a tad off so I have to enlarge the hole about an 1/8 inch to get them mounted. I really like these.
