Just unboxing this pump you can tell it is a vast improvement over the OEM. The impeller is a machined and well balanced piece of aluminum. The OEM is just plastic. That alone makes this pump worth it. As they say, "But, wait there's more." It has a coating that is scratch proof, which will make it more corrosion resistant. The housing of course appears sturdier as well as the pulley assembly and fan bolt. Taking my old pump off I noticed that the plastic OEM impeller was cracked. Feeling pretty good about the purchase at this point. No surprises with the install. Yes, it does come with the gasket but you will need a tube of water pump gasket like Permatex Water Pump and Thermostat RTV Silicone Gasket. The temperature difference in traffic is obvious as well as a steep, slow hill climb. Not really much difference at freeway speed. No leaks at all at 500 miles. Didn't even notice the typical break-in leaks through the weep hole. Highly recommend and will come back and revise if I have any issues.

At low RPMs this really does cool better than stock. At high RPM's, no difference.

I purchased this excellent water pump for hard use dune smashing in the middle east where 100° + is considered a cold day. It performs superbly. My engine temperature stays exactly where it should be when other stock Jeeps at the same time are running 10° hotter.

My water pump was leaking out of the weap hole and decided to pick up a new water pump with a little extra pump. I didn’t think that I would be getting such a high quality pump. The pump looks and feels awesome. After installing the FlowKooler pump I could see the difference from my temp gauge on the dash. My temps stay around 195 and doesn’t move from there. I also bought FlowKoolers high flow thermostat and combined it with hesco high flow t-stat housing.

A beautiful product! I could stare at the impeller all day if I didn't need the water pump in my Jeep. The machine work and anodized impeller are a big improvement over the stock unit.

It's doing it's job keeping coolant moving. Fit and finish is good. Hoping not to take it off for a good while.
