Can the tow hitch be used as a recovery point? Is there a rating for that?
Yes this is ties into the frame and can be used as a recovery point with a Quadratec D-ring Mount . Thank you.
will this fit with the Rugged Ridge XHD Double Tube rear bumper. I don't want to have to cut the bumper below the tire or have an extension welded to make sure I have clearance below the bumper.
We have not test fit the hitch with tube bumpers but the side of the bumper mount saddles just require not to be covered by your current bumper mounts. Only the logo on the included hitch plug. Quadratec logo plug with 1121 and Jeep logo with 1109. Thanks for your inquiry.
1. Has the issues with the wiring harness been fixed? 2. This will be for a jetski trailer. Is this an acceptable application or is the hitch only meant for accessory rancks and such?
This class II receiver hitch is rated for towing and can haul a jetski trailor as long as it is within the maximum tow rating. The Jeep Wrangler TJ has a max tow weight of 2,000 lbs (max tongue weight 200 lbs)and the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited LJ has a max tow rating of 3,500 lbs (max tongue weight 350 lbs). Also, we do not have any issues with our wiring harness and it will connect with a simple plug-n-play installation.
