Reviews for Bestop 51798-35 2-Piece Front Doors in Black Diamond for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
If you buy these you have to go into it knowing you will get wet. The first step to install these is remove your Jeep's carpet and pull all the drain plugs because these doors leak severely. They sure are fun in the sunshine, but I think they are way too expensive for all the aggravation they cause.
Terrible. Waste of money. adjusted several times, but don't seal at all. even just rinsing off my Jeep the inside was all wet. Useless, poorly designed, poorly manufactured. don't waste your money
These doors leave alot to be desired. I had the previous version for my TJ, so I thought I knew what I was getting with the JK version but I was wrong. My old set was by no means perfect, but these JK ones are a joke. They are so misshapen that it is impossible to get them to fit right. I spent a couple hours trying to tweak them and there are still huge gaps between the door and jam. I don't mind the gaps at the bottom so much, but the gaps at the top make them nearly useless. They won't keep the rain out while my Jeep is just sitting parked in a light storm. Very disappointing.
I am glad I bought them to make it easier to take off and put back on for the elements. Both doors don't fit right and make a lot of noise through the gaps they have. I don't think they are worth the price they are charging. Too bad I was really excited for these but I am very disappointed in them.
I concur with the others that said that the doors are a complete fail! they have a 1/2-1
inch gap along the bottom that can't be adjusted out with out welding new front door pins. also my left side door lock handle will not fully lay flat to the surround but just rattles and front door pins should be the same size diameter as the stock metal door pins. for the money spent they are epic fail!
Don't even waste your money on these, they are a horrible fit and it's like you are riding around without doors on anyway. I had them on for a day and went on the highway they flapped so bad it bent the hinges. When I took the doors off they wouldn't go back on without physically bending the hinges.
Doors need more adjustment points to fit correctly. 1/2" gaps at bottom front. Pins for window sections barely line up with holes in bottom doors when putting the two pieces together. Left door handle sticks out and is loose while the other is fine.
