Reviews for Corbeau Moab Reclining Front Seat Pair for 76-18 Jeep CJ-5, CJ-7, CJ-8 Scrambler, Wrangler YJ, TJ, JK & Unlimited
This seat is awful bought the mount and everything needed for cj7. Anyone that says this fits in a cj7 is a liar. Bolts to floor fine but absolutely horrible fit.
The seat mechanism can not lean the seat-back to tilt forward and only is designed for reclining back. After removing the plastic side cover for inspection, one can see cogs are only manufactured in only a small portion of the metal, probably a way for the manufacturer to cut costs. Since Jeep Wrangler seat bases are not not level and have a general front to rear down slope, the Moab seat can only be in a deep recline and while driving it is easy to start a habit of leaning your body forward from the seat back. These seats must be redesigned to give drivers the ability to adjust forward lean for Jeep Wranglers (YJ). This issue would have been found during operational field testing by the company. Everything else about these seats are outstanding. It is difficult to understand why the seat frames were not designed to lean in more forward positions in a held position and is a safety issue. My wife can not drive because of these seats...recline is way too far back in the most forward leaning position.
