Reviews for AccuPart Fuel Tank Skid Plate for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited
Good reviews
Factory same
Perfect fit on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4 Door! Not too difficult to install and my knowledge level is probably a little below the average back yard mechanic. It took me about 2 hours working alone, even with the sitting back and "thinking" time to figure out how to support the tank when I remove the old one. I ran my tank pretty empty, had 2 straps, and a floor jack along with an 18 mm impact socket. Sprayed all bolts with WD-40 first and let that soak for about 30 minutes. Old one came out pretty easily, just had to stop at one point and support it with the straps. Cleaned up the underside of the tank and started the install. New one went right on, just had to reposition straps while lifting it in place. Overall, extremely pleased. Just have to see how it survives the test of time. I will also post a pic of the old versus new.
It is a perfect replica to the factory one.
Exact replacement
I’m pleased with the product. As another reviewer stated mine was also missing a few spot welds and I had to repair it with a few rivets. For the price compared to the oem skid I’m pleased with the purchase. My skid was completely rusted out and this one fit nicely as a replacement.
It is direct replacement. Same as the original.
The skid plate fit perfectly but quality control must have been on break, missed a 5 spot welds not a big deal but was a little disappointed
Arrived with the spot welds missing, other than that its fine. Will have to return this one, I just have a bad feeling.
