Instructions were actually pretty good. 20 minutes to install. Tricky part was you have to lower it "slightly" lower than the factory prop rod holds it to do the final install...but once you have one it holds the hood until you snap in the other one. Works as advertised.

Easy install, took about 15 minutes. Clear, easy to follow directions. The only thing was the tapped holes in the one mounting brackets were not cleaned out after the tapping process. A little blast of compressed air took care of that. Makes it easy to raise the hood one handed and leaves plenty of room to work without the prop in the way. Raises the hood even with a Hi-Lift jack mounted.

Had problem with part C, they were not tapped very well. Kinda flattened the threads of the screws but was able to tighten them.
Everything else was an easy install.

Giving this one star due bent hinges and to Rival being non-responsive. Installed this product on my JK, easy install taking about 15 minutes. Directions are not very good but common sense parts make it pretty easy, bolts right on, no issues. I followed the instructions and exercised the pistons before snapping in. When finished I closed the hood and noticed the hood latches didn't line up...upon further investigation I noticed the whole hood pushed about 1/4" toward the front of the Jeep. It turns out the factory hood hinges bent (they weren't bent before) but I'm not sure why. I tried contacting Rival and left a question about the issue and it's been a month and no response.

Small bars that fit inside the slot in the hood for the top attachment point have no threads cut in them. Nothing for the bolts to tighten into. Lower brackets mounted up perfect and great fit. Unfortunately I broke the plastic tabs for the relay boxes, so have to leave the lower bracket in place or I would be returning this item.

I received this the other day and looking at the instructions provided what are the tools needed to install since the instructions are not clear?
Please advise!
