I have been looking for an affordable option for mounting my large 38 x 13.50 tire since it won't fit underneath. I wanted an option that didn't require drilling or purchasing an additional trail rail system.

It took about 2 hours to install the tire carrier with basic hand tools. The instructions were very straightforward and all the parts were numbered in the box. Once everything is put together and installed in the bed, the tire carrier is very sturdy and solid. The welds on the carrier itself are good. My tire and wheel combo is on the lighter side at just over 100lbs (not bad for a 38 and 17x9.5 wheel).

I am very happy with the looks of the tire carrier - it gives my Gladiator the Baja truck look. The downside is that my rear view mirror is now useless, but I expected that. The packaging of the shipping materials was top notch, but the powder coat still suffered a couple small scratches. I just touched it up with a bit of spray paint - no big deal.

Decent price point, no drilling, no additional parts to buy, and quick install.
