Reviews for Carnivore Tube Doors for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Just installed on my 21 Rubicon 2 door. Straight out of the box with no adjustments at all. Fit perfectly with zero rattles or issues.
Fantastic product. Installed 4 doors in less than 45 minutes and I am moderately skilled. These doors make zero rattling noises, look wonderful and make a solid connection when closing.
I originally ordered the rugged ridge doors but they were out if stock ...so after speaking with rep and asking about their quadretec doors I went with those which were cheaper ..and am i glad I did these doors are super sturdy the construction is amazing ..Super easy to put on with very little to tinker with to adjust them .. these doors look ready to tackle any terrain without worrying about someone falling out ...very happy.
These look fantastic - I think better than anything else, but that is subjective. They sit perfectly flush with the body of the Jeep, and look very substantial. They were super easy to install - it only takes 1-2 minutes each to put them on after removing your existing doors and they are ready to go except they will rattle until you tinker. They have an anti-rattle adjustment designed to pinch the latch against the latch ring on the door. In my case those did not work - I actually removed them. I possibly could have made them work by re-slotting the latch mounting holes, but probably would violate the warranty. Note that I have a hard top 2-door Rubicon. They had a bumper mechanism that may have worked with another vehicle and just not mine. I found two other solutions to stop the rattle. 1) You can loosen the hinges and pull up on the door so it sits high in the latch and re-tighten. The door will not open and close perfectly cleanly unless you push down a little, but it will not rattle, and you can enjoy your new doors right away. 2) I had some 1" thick heavy duty adhesive backed bumper foam lying around so I cut out a 1" x 3" strip and stuck it on the lower right side of the door (driver side) so it touches the body of the Jeep when closed and puts a little tension on the door latch to stop any rattle. That works perfectly: you can center the latch, and it feels like a factory door that springs open 1/4" when you release the latch. It is the same concept as the factory door seal compressing and expanding back against the latch to stop the rattle. It is worth the effort and a few extra dollars to get something really nice.
Love these doors! The fit is great and the look is awesome! The price is awesome especially since they offered free mirrors.
Great look. Super easy to install and I’m
Not mechanically inclined. What so ever
Looks fantastic, quiet if adjusted properly. Makes an excellent arm rest for my left arm while driving. The latch latches securely, makes me fell better about people in the backseat not falling out. I bough the recommended mirrors, they are much better, and more stable, than the other mirrors i was using without the doors.
Look great and fit great. Just need to be patient and adjust them. Install tips - the drivers side latch came a little bent. I used a rubber mallot to straigten it out. Also, if you order the Quadratec mirrors, I found the hardware that you need is in the front tube door box. All of the doors have rubber stops. They are on loosely and I found a couple in the bottom of the box, so pull things out carefully. I think adjusting these is the most time consuming, but it is worth the time. They keep the doors from rattling. Other than that, easy install.
Just received and installed my tube doors w/mirrors today. Perfect fit on my 2018 2 door JL. Lock latches match up perfectly and there is no play or rattle. Mirrors easy to install and are very stable. I am 100% satisfied and highly recommend.
The ONLY reason these door do not get 5 stars is because the door straps that come with the door allow the door to swing fully into the front tire fender. The doors themselves are excellent. The mirrors that came with them as well are very sturdy and basically seem OEM as far as view. Installation was a breeze although the instructions were a bit goofy as far as 2DR vs 4DR for the pieces that came with them. I had no issues with hardware except that I may go out and buy a better grade M6 screw to replace the mirror hardware as they seem kind of cheap and flimsy. Doors are fantastic though. I will upload pics in a few days.
