Instructions were non existent. Needs to be an install video made by quadratec if they are going to continue to sell this product. The Unit itself is high quality but the brackets that were included are cheap. Had to make several modifications to make the unit look presentable ( parts not lining up and weird gaps between the unit and the trim. Harness assembly made by quadratec was good quality and made that part of the install a piece of cake.

The radio itself is great. Nice interface, CarPlay works well, fits into the jeep seamlessly. The instructions, not amazing. I found a YouTube video for how to remove the dashboard without breaking everything which was a huge help, but when it came to installing the actual radio, I was lost. ALSO!! - get a usb to usb extender if you plan to run your usb inputs anywhere. The ones that came attached to the radio are max 6 inches long and hard to run to a place accessible in the vehicle once the dash is closed up. I ran mine thru the top of the dash, in the rubber tray near the windshield.

Overall would 100% buy again but Quadratec - PLEASE create a step by step install video! This would be a 1 hour project with a step by step guide rather than a 4 hour project.

A great replacement for what my 2012 had. Pushes lots of clear sound. Don’t forget to get the mini b to usb converter, not included with harness, if you want the console USB to work for CarPlay. I have zero knowledge of car stuff and completed the switch entirely by myself. It took a lot longer than the estimated time, but I got it done.

The overall sound of system, even after adding kicker upgrades speakers is not impressive. Wife likes the CarPlay feature, but sound was not an improvement

Definitely an improvement over the stock unit that came in the JK back in 2013, but fails to compete with what’s currently standards. That is the system glitches on registering the phone when plugged in and will require reboot if you are on the phone while running maps (google/Apple) for any bit of time or happen to get a text.
