Reviews for ARB 5750390 License Plate Relocation Kit for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL
I think this is a good deal. The instructions for wiring didn't match my 2021 JL with LED lights. I connected it to the white wire with bule stripe that goes to the stock license plate light right above the rear driver-side bumper. Not fun but works fine...
One small issue is that you can't remove the plate bracket with the lug wrench, have to use an end wrench. Nicely made kit though.
Easy mount
I had read other reviews that mention this is an Australian product and would need new holes for an American plate to fit it. Both scotch clips came but one was unusable. There should be a couple extra sent. Luckily I had some from a previous install. The wire loom is about 4" too short to reach properly. I ended up running the loom through the rear vents in my door. It does work good and is overall worth the money and time
As others have stated, you have to drill new holes for US plates. I had a tough time fitting this with my aftermarket smittybuilt wheel/tire/brake mount as well. That may be on me since it’s not a stock mount, but in general, it’s kind of a clunky install with bad directions. I also had to run additional wire that was not included in the order, so make Ute you have some extra 8 gauge if you buy.
Not designed for American license plates. You will need to drill new holes. I would not buy this product.
I liked the finish look and practically of the relocation kit.
However, the relocation plate hole pattern had to be drilled.
I also had to get longer mounting bolts to fit past the Mopar OME beadlock
Wheel for the 2021 Wrangled Unlimited Rubicon.
I agree with the above review- I had to drill new holes to make it fit a US plate.
Works well enough for what it is. My only complaint is that it's drilled for European/Australian plates. Maybe I got sent the wrong version? I had to drill out new holes on the bracket to fit US plates.
The bracket is solidly made, but will not fit US tag. Easily fixed by drilling the tag though. That's where the good stuff ends. The wiring is super thin and breaks very easily. The light for the tag is dim, and cheap. It reminds of of lights you can buy in an emergency in a gas station, not something from ARB. The directions are pretty useless as the pictures are terrible, and I never did find the colors of wires I was supposed to find to connect to.
I got it sorted out, but it took a while
