live them they work nice
I searched all over to see if I could find something that would work with my power sky one touch roof and it did!! I posted pictures of my red Jeep if they approve it. I placed bars on the middle setting and the rear bar 3.5 in from the back of the rail and it slid right under. Front bar right 25.5 in from the front rail. Perfect for my paddle board. Very happy with the price and was actually high enough
Works Great for what they are which is light duty.
It's adjustable
Have a 2020 Unlimited and got this to carry an older Thule cargo box while hopefully still being able to use the One Touch Sky Roof. (Thank you for the photos Luke L.) Due to shipping constraints it took about three months to receive--but QT was great with regular updates and didn't charge me until it shipped.
Most reviews here are correct: The plastic strips for the feet are total junk. Tried gluing them but they came right off-will deal with those at some other point. I didn't have an issue with the fasteners stripping but they clearly aren't machined very well so I can see why others had issues. The washers definitely fall off and are next to impossible to find if you unscrew the plastic hand knobs so be careful (and forewarned). Last, the rack WILL scratch your the roof above the drip rail if you adjust it by sliding forward or back. I recommend lifting the rack off entirely and putting it back down in the right location if you want to adjust its location.
All in all you get what you are paying for--an inexpensive but sturdy rack that's height adjustable but designed to sit high above the roof. That means you'll be able to carry your stuff but the trade off is wind noise. Wranglers aren't really quiet to begin with so if that's what you need turn up the radio and deal with it. If you want a rack with a lower profile or one that is streamlined to be quieter buy something else for 2-6x the price and you'll probably be happier.
I like the product for my 2014 JKU 4 door - seems a very heavy duty product. But could include a small tube of silicone to glue the chafe strips and a roll of 1 inch non-slip tape - I purchased both to improve my setup. I never noticed until I purchased this product that my Jeep does not have a drip rail beyond the rear door - IMO, Jeep didn't think this design through for roof top rails. I can still use the rails when I use my freedom panels.
Adequate. I bought this as an inexpensive light duty rack to carry a canoe once in a while. It seems like it will work for that purpose. Reviews on more expensive racks like Mopar and Thule were still not that great, so why spend 2-3X as much and still get a rack that has issues?
Downsides: quite a bit of wind noise. The plastic channel they give you to put on the clamps to protect the gutter is a joke, and a lame one at that. Pretty flimsy and worse does not want to stay in place during installation. Will have to find or make a replacement. The clamp on tie-down points are somewhat flimsy but I just hook the tie-down straps directly to the bars.
Pros: Finish seems decent, the bars are sturdy enough, assembly was easy except for the plastic clamp covers. Looks fairly nice. Easy to put on and take off, so I only put it on when I'm transporting a canoe. The clamp on tie-downs do provide a positive stop to keep a canoe from sliding sideways.
CAUTION: Check your hardtop before ordering to ensure your drip rail extends over the rear window. My drip rail, 2017 JKU Four Door, stops after the back door window and does not extend over the rear window. Check first. Customer service was awesome when I called for product advice. They were also surprised and have issued me a return ticket. Absolutely wonderful team!
