Reviews for Quadratec QRC Front Winch Ready Bumper for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Based solely on the results, this would be a 5. It looks amazing and is a good match for the JL. However, the install was a new level of frustration. If you are looking to spend and hour installing fog lights, this is the bumper for you. They use an ikea formula to attach them and if you strip a screw- you are SOL because of the size. I couldn’t even get my hands to a spot to put all the screws/nuts in, and gave up when I got it secure enough.
I’m a huge quadratec fan, and typically I buy because they think of the setup instead of just the part. However, this was a supreme disappointment. Glad it’s over and I can simply enjoy it.
The powder coating lasted about 1.5 years until it turned to rust. Disappointed in this coating - everything else was fine. Installation was good, did it myself. No other issues other than the extensive rust.
Loved this bumper when I first installed. But after a while the bumper started to rust everywhere. I now have to replace
I love the look of the bumper. No issues with install however I ordered this bumper August of 2020 and it’s a little over a year old and the bumper is already starting to rust on the welds and underneath. I’m already thinking about replacing it because I can’t stand to look at it the way it’s getting.
Like some others have noted, I am also seeing rust after only 1 year of use. The winters here in Ohio aren't that bad so it's disappointing to be dealing with rust already. Otherwise, it looked great until the point of rusting.
Rusted in multiple places in less than one year. Customer service was good and sent another one, but warranty is only good for 3 years. Buying reputable stuff only from now on
Sturdy bumper had to shim it for proper fitting. The coating didn’t last one winter it has rust all over it.
Nice heavy build, but disappointed with the amount of rust after just 7 months. I know that some winter road salt can have an impact, but I have lots of steel accessories and this seems just unacceptable. An extra coat of paint or better paint before shipping wouldn’t be much to ask.
I installed the bumper in September. After only three months of western NY winter (salted roads) it developed extensive surface rust and a couple of spots on the welds. They sent me a replacement so we'll how this one does. The QRC side rails have the same problem. Maybe a poor paint job is how they sell QRC stuff at good prices.
Very disappointed in the workmanship. Welding spatter everywhere, weld quality is marginal at best. The tapped holes for mounting the fog lights were filled with coating and had to chase the threads with a tap. The right side fog light bracket was welded on incorrectly, I had to shim the mounting for alignment.
It is a good design but the manufacture of this bumper needs to step up and take a little pride in their product. A little quality control would go a long way!
