Reviews for Quadratec Aluminum Modular Engine & Transmission, and Transfer Case Skid Plates for 18-20 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited with 3.6L engine
Their made of aluminum.
Excellent fitment, absolutely no interference, easy install. I thought the installation time as stated was a bit long, but there are lots of fasteners to hold them firmly in place so took the estimated time. With all the fasteners, I recommend you paint mark them as you go around and torque them down so you don't miss any. A highly recommended purchase!
Installed no problem. Banged them a bit in my first time out. Plenty of scratches and one dent. I do not think steel would have come out un-dented when I dropped on the rock.
I removed them due to vehicle change and took pictures.
Instructions were great, and installation was easy. These skid plates are relatively light weight but very strong and beefy. Definitely recommend.
Excellent product. Perfect fit. Great finish. Easy install. Haven't tested them out on the trail as yet though.
Fitted perfectly to my 2019 RHD Aussie JLU.
Super well built and tough skid. It was easy to install and the plates are amazingly light but very strong. The replacement crossmembers are sooooo much better than the original equipment versions. I did the total installation by myself in less than an hour and 1/2. Used a jack stand to help support the crossmembers and plates during the install.
Two big thumbs up. Well built and easy to install. I put both skid plates on, by myself, in the driveway in less than 2 hours.
Great system and an easy install. I used a floor jack which helped support the skid plate. They are very well made with precise measurements and excellent welds. The cross bars for both the transmission and transfer case are beefy, Take you time, read the instructions (especially about keeping everything finger tight) It helps with final alignment and eventual tightening and torque of bolts.
All in all a great product and great value! Installed by myself with hand tools in my driveway in under an hour.
3-4 hour install time is pushing it. Took me all of 40 minutes from the time I started unpacking it to when I finished. They take beatings very well. Took an out crawling the next day. I’d take these over steel any day.
