Reviews for Quadratec Custom Fit Entry Guards for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
They seem to cover all the necessities but they leave a gap at the front where the seal is now bent up. I only noticed because it because I could see light through it on the passenger side. I also noticed I could feel wind through it when driving above 30mph. I measured and set in place like the instructions say. The plastic just doesn’t let the door seal correctly anymore.
These are high quality and great coverage. However, I also experienced visible daylight at the base of the door on both sides, which was a deal breaker for me. Unfortunately they were only on the truck for about 20 minutes.I really liked the lip that covers the top of the door sill but that's what displaces the door gasket. Bummer!
Quick and easy to install, does not cover all the door sill though, they could be longer.
Work & Look ok. Fit could be better.
perfect fit. the only issue i see is the upturned lip is where the door weather seal makes contact. you can see light through this void where the lip ends. it will allow water to enter if you take your Rubicon in 30" of water.
Installed per directions- caused a noticeable gap on the passenger side front door towards the front were door curves. Light from the outside is visible when viewed from the driver seat looking down at it. No problems with the the other three installed.
Sorry Quadratec...gotta ding you on these. First, let me say that this product is well constructed, heavy duty, looks good and fits well however, because they are "Heavy Duty" and the "fit" up the sides and over the lip of the entry causes significant gaps between the entry, the entry guards and the door seal on both ends of the entry guard which allows water from rain and washing (not to mention water fording) to easily enter the floor pans of the vehicle. I imagine this happens with all similar styles of entry guards that make contact with the door seal so, don't waste money on these...prevents scratches and entry damage...yes, at the cost of allowing water to enter the cabin...would not buy again or any styled like them...waste of money.
Just went to put these on and the fit on my 2 door JL is not so great....not flush on the ends at the top lip no matter how I position them.
Too thick, interferes with the door seal letting water in.
I have a 2021 Rubicon. These door sill guards are certainly well-made, but they prevent the rubber door seal at the bottom of the front doors from seating properly against the door frame. When sitting in the drivers seat, I can actually see a tiny bit of light shining through the bottom of the door.
