Reviews for Quadratec Custom Fit Entry Guards for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Rear guards popped off..... I do not have kids, nor do I use the back seat often. They just popped off. New double sided tape and I put them back on.
Great product compared to the more expensive Mopar version.
Nice I got.the look I was looking for but I can see daylight at the bottom of the passenger door.
looks great but that something that should of came from the factory
good fit and finish, but it would have been nice to number where the should go, I reversed the back 2 panels and had to rip it out and put new 2 way stick tap to get it to work, but over all 3rd time purchasing for 3rd jeep so worth it.
These are quite nice, they look perfect and cover the door sill correctly. They protect the door sill quite well, and even protect the rim where the door jam seals. Trouble is, there's only three thin glue strips that run 3/4's the length. I had to use latex adhesive on the ends to hold them down. A bit more adhesive to keep the raised lip properly secured to the inside of the sill. I used clamps to hold the protectors in place while the adhesive dried. Now, IMNSHO, they look better than the factory installed sill protectors. And at a very good price!
I have a 2018 JLU. These are much better than the Mopar product. they cover more area on the sill and edge. my first set did not fit properly and created a 3/4 inch gap in the front door seals(rears were perfect fit). Quadratec was excellent and fowarded me another set. the problem was still there but using a hair dryer and heating up the guard you can bend it enough so the guard front and rear top ends sit flush against all areas it needs to contact. the seal was perfect after slight adjustment. once you put them in they are a pain to take out and are useless at this point. before you install fit it first and check the seal . the only reason i dont give these 5 stars are because of the problems i had. i highly recommend these and just check for fit before you install. have to say love them in look and serviceabilty.
I put these on when the Jeep was new. They were easy to install, look good and add protection. However, I just got back from a multiday backcountry hunt where the roads were deep powder dust. The way the sill moves up and over the ridge of the door actually interferes with the door seal and allowed copious amounts of dust and dirt to enter the vehicle. The rear doors were the worst. I will be changing these out for a design that doesn't interfere with the door seal.
They are very sturdy great quality but, they are to thick your door sill rubber won’t seal around them when the door closes. You can see daylight and water shoot in your Jeep when in car wash and diving on a rainy day
Easy install but only came with the 2 front guards, specs said that there were to be 2 front and 2 rear? Will give the 2 stars when I get the 2 tears.
