Reviews for Fox® Racing Shox 985-24-173 Performance Series 2.0 Smooth Body IFP Steering Stabilizer for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Made a significant difference in my steering with out a doubt. We all know the JT has its steering issues but this does wonders. fast install..any one can do it with 5 minutes and a ratchet set.
I am not sure why Jeep doesn't make this stabilizer standard equipment. It took me longer to get the splash guard off the font bumper than it did to replace the old unit with this. I replaced my OEM stabilizer with only 1001 miles on my 2020 Willys and what a huge difference. It did not take up the slop in the steering wheel, but it did help drastically with the wandering and shaking. This SS definitely makes the steering heavier, which I like better than the stock steering feel.
Installed this about a week after installing the Mopar 2" lift. Made a huge difference. Definitely recommend installing with the lift!
It is so much better than the stock stabilizer. Works real good.
I love my Rubicon Gladiator, but steering feel was a bit lacking. Considering the Rubicon has Fox 2.0 shocks all around, I am surprised Jeep didn't include this stabilizer in the package. Long story short, I am pleasantly surprised how much of a difference this relatively inexpensive upgrade made. Two thumbs up!
Great replacement, over stock stabilizer
Worth every penny, easy install and smooths everything out.
I was literally just putting this on just to have a FOX stabilizer to match my FOX 2.0 shocks and Mopar lift, not even thinking it would make much difference. In fact, I had just had mine replaced by Jeep due to a Customer Satisfaction Notification a week prior, so I literally went from a brand-new OEM stabilizer to this FOX one. Let me tell you, I'm not only impressed, but blown away at the difference in overall handling, not just bump-steer/death wobble resistance. There is virtually zero wander now and the wheel just stays straight. Not even a sign of wander or wobble. I decided to relocate mine, seeing it's close to $150 and could be easily damaged being mounted so low. My original that was replaced by Jeep was indeed dented and messed up, but still worked fine. Not taking any chances. Clayton Offroad relocation bracket kit was the choice for me. Anyone considering this stabilizer, just do it. It's FOX, it's beefy and it's beautiful. Oh, and it does what it's supposed to very well. Git one!!
Easy install steering feels tighter after install
this damper made a huuuuuuuuuge differ with the way the JL handles - no more wobble or shimmy when i hit a bump - well worth the money
