Using a CB radio when off roading is always a smart idea. However, that CB reception is only going to be as good as the CB antenna attached to your vehicle.
For maximum range, which also enhances safety, our CB antennas can either mount to the Jeep's hood, or on the back bumper or spare tire. Most include wiring to splice into the CB hook up, while some kits are all inclusive with the CB, mount, and antenna.
