hey Rob here for Quadratec.com welcome to 2021 I wanted to start off this year by wishing everyone a very happy new year thanks for sticking with us through last year and here's hoping that this upcoming year has better things to come I've got a few topics at hand today the rubicon 392 and potential pricing discovered over on JL Wrangler forums we've also got some news to talk about with our 100,000 subscriber giveaway we've been running right here on the youtube channel over the past few weeks and I've got a big new giveaway to talk about at the end of this video so you're definitely going to want to stick around for that now before I dive into everything of course if you haven't already and you like these videos do me a huge favor go ahead and hit that thumbs up button of course don't forget to hit that subscribe button as well as the notification icon so be sure to catch all of our latest product reviews how-to videos news videos and much much more from us here at Quadratec now let's go ahead and dive right in to the rubicon 392 and potential pricing discovered over on JL Wrangler forum now before I talk about that unless you've been living under a rock for the past few months which well with 2020 in the rearview mirror that's a very possible situation for you so let's talk about just a few of the features of that rubicon 392 briefly of course the biggest one is under the hood of that Wrangler and that is that 6.4 liter HEMI V8 that's putting out 407 horsepower 470 pound-feet of torque and putting up numbers like four and a half seconds in the zero to 60 and the 13-second quarter mile all that is very very impressive of course the rubicon 392 also comes loaded with a ton of standard features so we're seeing things like a standard black leather interior standard steering wheel mounted paddle shifters an 8.4 inch Uconnect touch screen we're also getting 17 inch bead lock capable wheels that dual mode exhaust with the electronic shutters in there those valves that you can open and close with a push of a button so you can have a nice tame sounding Wrangler when you're driving through the neighborhood and then open that thing up when you're out on the trails hear the rumble of that 6.4 liter V8 you also get that new hydro guide air induction hood that's going to help direct cold dense air to feed that HEMI while also shedding water away even when you're fording deep water and potentially take water through that intake well it's going to direct it out the back not into the air intake now with all of those things out of the way over on jl Wrangler forum member TCMC posted a screenshot from the Jeep order system showing his build and he wrote that he did see that a vin number has been added to his build so that means it's progressing along and pricing has now populated in that form now yes if we look at it it does say unlimited sport however you'll notice the 27x code in there which is of course the 392 package now if we take a look at the pricing column we'll see a number of seventy seven thousand and fifty five dollars I don't want you guys but that is a huge price tag to put on a Wrangler now remember TCMC also wrote that the only options that he added to his rubicon were the dual top group and the trailer tow group and those are priced out at 23.95 and 795 respectively so if we take those away from the equation well that puts the base sticker of the rubicon 392 at just under 74k that's a huge sticker price for a Wrangler I don't know about you guys but that might be just a bit out of my budget what do you guys think of that number let me know down in the comments below I'd love to hear what you think about a 74 000 price tag on a Wrangler now I did a little bit of pricing around on the Jeep website just to see at what a comparable rubicon would be so I did some of the same options as user TCMC did the tool top group as well as the tow group and then I put the same standard features that we would get with the rubicon 392 onto the rubicon so things like the automatic trans leather interior Uconnect 8.4 inch touchscreen as well as the full-time transfer case that does come standard in the 392. with everything packed into that rubicon guys I got a sticker of 54 330. you ready for this that means that that 6.4 liter HEMI V8 is a 22 725 upgrade that is a huge price tag to put on a V8 under the hood of the Wrangler coming from the factory let me know what you guys think about that price tag do you think that's a real number or is that potentially inflated is this number that we're seeing in the order system potentially a fabricated number just a placeholder maybe to throw everybody off until we get some actual prices revealed from Jeep let me know I'd love to hear your thoughts on that now I also jumped over to the dodge website as well and I priced out a few challengers now if you guys are interested you can pick up a challenger rt scat pack with that same 392 HEMI SRT V8 ready guys for 36 640 that's less than half price of the 392 in the rubicon what's going on over there guys why are we paying so much for the 392 in the Wrangler versus in a Challenger now just in case you're curious I also went ahead and priced out an SRT hellcat of course which comes equipped with that supercharged 6.2 liter HEMI V8 making over 700 horsepower the sticker price starting out for that is only 66.95 so we're still 17 thousand dollars below that sticker price for the Wrangler 392. what do you guys think I'd love to hear your comments down in the comment section below did you order one I didn't not yet I'd love to wait and see what the real pricing is going to be from Jeep is that 77,000 price tag just a fabricated number or are we potentially going to see a more realistic sticker price or is that the price to pay for V8 power in a Wrangler now with the 392 behind us I did want to talk for a minute about our 100,000 subscriber giveaway we've been running right here on youtube In this episode of Jeep News, Rob discusses the topic of the much anticipated and long awaited Rubicon 392, 6.4L HEMI V8 powered Jeep Wrangler that is finally a reality, but we still don't have official pricing from Jeep. Forum member TCMC on JL Wrangler Forums recently posted a screen shot from the dealer order system showing his Rubicon 392 build with a price of $77,055! Could this be the price tag on a V8 powered Wrangler, or is Jeep just throwing us off with this number as a placeholder?
