Quadratec Door Sill Entry Guards Install & Review for Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT

hey Rob here for Quadratec.com today we're going to be installing a set of Quadratec door sill entry guards for the 2018 or newer Jeep Wrangler JL and the 20 and newer Jeep Gladiator JT you know the door sills here on the Wrangler and the Gladiator sit up a bit higher than most other vehicles currently on the market and because of this well they're pretty prone to getting scuffed and scratched when you're getting in and out of your Jeep inadvertently dragging your feet over the door seal or maybe even just stepping on it all together by installing a set of quarter tech door sill entry guards not only can you protect your Jeep from any future damage but let's face it if you're already starting to show signs of wear and tear here on the door sill well you can virtually completely cover that up and freshen up the look of your Wrangler or Gladiator our door sill entry guards are proudly designed and manufactured right here in the usa from a virtually indestructible tough thermoplastic elastomer a tpe material now not only do we have a great quarter tech logo right here in the center of the entry guard but this nice hexagonal design pattern that's going to complement and echo similar patterns found around your Wrangler and Gladiator from the factory our entry guards are available for two door Wranglers that's going to include a pair of entry guards one for the driver door and one for the passenger door as well as four-door Wranglers and Gladiator they're going to include an additional pair of entry guards for the rear doors as well while there are many door sill entry guards available on the market none of them are going to give you the complete and full amount of coverage as our Quadratec entry guards not only protecting the flat horizontal surface of your door sills here but extending up and over the door seal area as well to give you a full amount of coverage that's not going to interfere with your doors opening and closing or your door seals in any way once they're installed now to get our entry guards installed it's a virtually painless and simple procedure we can start by opening up one of the included alcohol prep pads and we'll go ahead and just give a nice thorough wipe down of the flat horizontal surface of our door sill area here you want to make sure that you clean the entire area from this bolt all the way back past this factory seam here and that's just going to remove any grease dirt or grime or buildup to make sure that we have really good adhesion from that 3m vhb double-sided tape that's on the back side of our entry guards we can go ahead and start by peeling back a couple inches from the inside tape strip that's the one closest to the vertical edge followed by a smaller amount of tape from the outside strip and then we can go ahead and align our entry guard in place on our door seal now because we are extending up over that seal area and we include this little bump out here that covers that bolt that's normally exposed well they're virtually going to take care of aligning themselves in our door jamb once we have them lined up we can go ahead and start by grabbing this forward tape backing strip remember this is the backing strip that's connected to that inside tape strip go ahead and pull that off and just apply some light pressure as we're peeling the tape out of the way now we can grab that second tape strip remember this is the one connected to the outer double-sided vhb tape strip again applying some light pressure as we're peeling that out of the way and then you can just run your hand down apply some firm pressure the entire length of the entry guard and that's really all it takes to get your Quadratec door cell entry guards installed in your 2018 or newer Jeep Wrangler JL or your 20 newer Jeep Gladiator JT if you want to purchase a set for your Jeep you can click that info button to head over to quartertech.com of course if you have any comments or questions about our entry guards or how to get them installed you can always leave those for me down in the comment section below or contact us directly at any of the options on the screen and if you haven't already and you like these videos do me a huge favor make sure you hit that thumbs up button don't forget to hit that subscribe button as well as the notification icon so be sure to catch all of our latest videos until next time i'm Rob i'll see you guys out on the trail
