The flat steel skid plate on the bottom of the jacks protect the components from damage and help to spread out the load on to a larger surface area when you're raising your Jeep in softer terrain like sand or mud. Both feature an impressive maximum lifting height, with the "Talon" operating from 4.5" to 13" (28" with the included extension) and the "Beast" operating from 6" to 18" (26" with the included extension).
