Oracle Lighting Sidetrack Fender LED Lighting System for Jeep Wrangler & Gladiator

Hey Rob here for Quadratec.com. Today we're checking out the Oracle Lighting Side Track fender LED lighting system. There are two versions of the Side Track available the first has been specifically designed to follow the existing body lines found on the driver and passenger side fenders here on the 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL as well as the 20 newer Jeep Gladiator JT the second version of the Side Track has been designed to be compatible with the earlier 07 to 18 Jeep Wrangler JK. Now as you can see here on an 18 or newer Jeep Wrangler JL or Jeep Gladiator JT the Side Track not only follows but accentuates and highlights that body line here around your fender that surrounds that side fender vent. For the earlier Jeep Wrangler JKs by adding the Side Track, well you're going to get some of those updated looks of a more modern Jeep Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT for your slightly older Jeep Wrangler JK. Now in addition to adding some styling cues the Side Track serves two main functions. First it's going to illuminate a courtesy light here to help light up the ground around and underneath of your Wrangler or Gladiator. That means it's going to be much easier and safer to get in and out of your Jeep at night helping to highlight any potential hazards or obstacles that may be on the ground underneath of your Wrangler. Now the second function of the Side Track is a second set of LEDs hidden in this same lens here on the Side Track. It's going to function as an additional turn signal indicator that's going to be especially helpful for drivers that may be here in the blind spot area of your vehicle that don't have a great view of either your front turn signals or even your rear tail light. The second set of amber LEDs will illuminate with your turn signals helping to better alert drivers of your attentions whether that be turning around a corner or simply changing lanes. Now the Side Track installs very easily with no drilling or modifications required to your fender sheet metal that's because it's simply held in place with some very strong double-sided VHB tape. Now as for the wiring it's going to slip right behind your existing fender vents or fender flares so that it's totally hidden once the Side Track is installed and it's a simple three wire hookup on each side of the vehicle so that's six wires in total. You will have a ground wire on each side followed by a turn signal indicator wire which will tap into your existing turn signal wiring at the driver and passenger side fender flare and finally that courtesy light wire will slip through your firewall and attach to the dome light circuit down in the foot well area on both driver and passenger side of your vehicle. That means that the turn signals are going to function totally automatically with no additional input from you and as for that courtesy light well you'll have three ways of illuminating that light. It’ll turn on when you unlock your vehicle from your key fob, it'll also illuminate when you open the doors of your vehicle and finally you can always turn it on manually right there from the dome light switch on your dashboard.
