First Totaled 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL, JT Trucks and AEV Ram Prospector + Giveaway

hey Rob here for quarter techcom we have some jeep news for you lined up today we have good news we have some bad news and of course we have a giveaway so you want to make sure you stick around to the end of today's video to find out just how easy it is to get yourself entered to win our fantastic giveaway for today we're gonna go ahead and get started with the good news yesterday over on abies Facebook page they posted it up to images showing a car hauler loaded with not one not two but three JT trucks guys now these were all sporting the typical mule garb head to toe covered up so that we could not see any details of the trucks nothing really new here we've seen these running around the streets for a little while now in disguise doing testing and things like that but the interesting thing about this is not that there were three JT's loaded on this car hauler and not that av captioned it with well well look what we spotted but I think it was that AV was very much involved in these trucks being on this car hauler at their location in Michigan because just yesterday afternoon we received a couple images from our loyal customer Frank out in Illinois showing the exact same car hauler now also carrying three av ram prospector trucks now these trucks were all sporting a V window stickers so we're not sure where these were headed where they headed off to a dealership perhaps the one truck here is showcasing a quad cab with their bed rack and if you offer it accessories a high left Jack some max tracks the second truck is a standard cab model showcasing their utility bed and the third truck was a quad cab model more of a production standard bed just featuring the prospector accessories well like I said here the interesting thing is that these three JT were loaded up with AV vehicles was Jeep delivering these trucks to AV were they picking up the JT's along with the prospector trucks from a V's facility did AV have anything involved with these trucks guys these are all questions I know we're all dying to figure out the answers to now our customer Frank did say he tried to approach the truck to get a few more images and the driver quickly steered him away so he had been obviously given instructions to keep photographers at bay from this vehicle where might they have been heading could they be headed out to Moab guys let's not forget Easter Jeep Safari is just around the corner with about less than two weeks away from now are they headed out there to do some testing could we potentially see a JT revealed at Easter Jeep Safari or may we see some concept vehicles out there these are all questions we want to know what do you guys think what do you think a V had involved with these JT's even just passing through their facility why don't you guys let us know in the comments section below we're gonna go ahead and move on to our next piece of news here today guys unfortunately this is sort of bad news however it starts out on a high note one of our Quadra tech employees picked up a brand new gel Rubicon approximately two weeks ago you can see it here at the dealership taking delivery of the vehicle on a Wednesday evening very excited to bring it in to work here you can see it in our parking lot you may recognize this vehicle from a few videos we uploaded last week showing you just how easy it is to install some new Mopar accessories for the jail well guys this is where this story takes a turn now I'm gonna start out by saying everybody's okay everybody walked away with only minor injuries but on just Tuesday morning a few days after taking delivery and with just a few miles over 500 on the odometer this happened in the turn lane less than a mile from work he was hit head-on by another vehicle now in this picture it does not look terribly bad even from the side angle it doesn't look too bad we pull back a little bit we can see that that's a cord was making a right turn onto the road swung wide over the double yellow line and contacted the driver front tire sending it into a 360-degree spin ending up behind the Rubicon and here you can see that the entire front end of that Accord is pin just shredded by the front of the Jeep now we've been waiting to hear from him what is going to happen to this Wrangler could this be the first JL in the United States that has been totaled in an accident are they going to fix it well we got news yesterday guys it's gone it's done the damage was just too severe here we can see it sitting in the tow yard and it starts to become more apparent just how much damage this vehicle received with taking that impact to the driver front wheel once they got it up on the lift you can see some clear damage to the axle the fender flares become detached from the vehicle and looking under it here you can see that the driver's side axle tube has been completely torn out of the center differential housing on the axle now it shifted the axle underneath the vehicle by probably almost a foot bending Treiber control arm like a pretzel into a almost 90 degree angle bending the shocks creating other damage to the suspension the driveline and then like a domino effect right through the chassis of the vehicle it actually cracked the engine block the transmission cracked open the transfer case and then tweaked the frame a little bit we can see all the damage here how the body is not sitting correctly on the frame the rear bumper is not aligning the damage to the rear wheel unfortunately like I said this vehicle is gone it is no more however there is a slightly happy ending to this story a new replacement Rubicon is already on the way we should expect to see that next week now our employee did go post this up over on jail Wrangler forums if you guys want to head over there you can check out the full thread leave your condolences for the loss of this brand new Rubicon with just about 500 miles on it absolutely a shame but light at the end of the tunnel the new Wrangler
