AWE Tread Edition Exhaust Review & Sound Test for Jeep Wrangler JL with 2.0L Turbo 4 cylinder

hey I'm Jesse with awe we are so psyched to have Quadratec here today so awe is a 30 year old manufacturer of high performance car parts we started in the Volkswagen and Audi scene and evolved into enjoy the show hey Rob here for Quadratech.com today we're going to be installing an awe tread edition cat-back exhaust on a 2018 or newer Jeep Wrangler JL equipped with the 2-liter turbo engine now you may notice that I'm in a slightly different setting today and that's because awe is not only a us-based company but they're actually located only about a half hour up the road from us right here in horsham pa so we thought what better way to do our install than to come out to their headquarters and let them do it for me and they do not only installs but r d production manufacturing shipping everything happens right here under one roof part of the beauty of having development completely in-house from end to end is that we're able to offer some pretty unique things from our lifetime warranties through to something pretty special in the industry which is a fitment guarantee we guarantee you that this product is going to fit we know how frustrating it is to get under that Jeep and find something that doesn't fit we guarantee that ours will now if you're not really familiar with who awe is well that's okay because they're still relatively new to the Jeep game however these guys are no strangers to crafting some really amazing high quality and high performing exhausts when it comes to testing we don't take anything for granted whether it's full on dyno testing on our all-wheel drive mustang dynamometer through to track testing all the way up to off-road testing now with the Jeep market we always are going to make sure that the products that end up on your vehicles are completely vetted from end to end all right well Sean just finished getting our Wrangler prep by getting all that factory stuff out of the way i thought I'd take a quick minute to show you what exactly makes up the tread exhaust from awe now you do have your choice of going with either an axle-back only system or a complete cat-back system no matter which you choose you know you're getting nothing but the highest quality exhaust from awe now here with the axle-back system you see we're getting a twin muffler twin exit design that's available with your choice of either the polished stainless or the black coated exhaust tips and then if you decide to upgrade and do the full cat-back exhaust you have your choice of either going with a resonator or a non-resonated design now awe is using nothing but the highest quality materials using all CNC mandrel-bent t304l stainless steel that they're bending and fully welding right here under this roof in horsham pa one of the other really cool things that you'll see here with the awe system is that they're using their 180 technology which is going to give you nothing but the best sounding exhaust with absolutely no drone at all one of the secret sauces of awe's success in the exhaust spaces not only in Jeep but in other markets is awes patented drone cancelling solution called 180 technology this is a drone killing machine that actually at the end of the day gives the same exact power as a straight pipe system so you get no drone while also not losing an ounce of performance no baffles no messing around this is the ultimate solution to canceling out drone the other really cool thing that awe does you see here they're serializing every single exhaust that they make so with that said I'm not going to get in the way I'm going to go ahead and let Sean get back to it installing our new exhaust here on our Wrangler so i know they mentioned we installed our exhaust here on our Wrangler equipped with the two liter turbo however this same tread edition exhaust has also been designed to be compatible with the 3.6 liter Pentastar v6 and it's been designed to work with both the 2 and the 4-door Wrangler one of the other really nice things that you'll notice here with the exhaust from awe is the level of fine tune adjustment they give you with their system a lot of times we'll see a fully welded muffler design running all the way from the muffler out to the tip of the exhaust awe is using a clamped on pipe here to give you those fine tune adjustments so that you can compensate and adjust where the tip sits relative to the bumper that means whether you've got a stock bumper on your Jeep or an aftermarket one you're not only going to have a great sounding exhaust but a really great looking exhaust as well and that comes from all of the years that awe has experience working with the sports and performance car market they can bring what they've learned here to the Jeep market for us now with that being said why don't we go ahead and get our Jeep off the lift so we can take it outside and see just how it sounds now well i thought the exhaust sounded absolutely fantastic definitely can't wait to get out on the
