hey Rob here for Quadratec.com today we're checking out the AWE tread edition dual exit exhaust for the 2020 and newer Jeep Gladiator JT now if you're not very familiar with AWE that's okay these guys are pretty new to the Jeep world however they're no strangers to creating some very amazing high quality high performance exhaust systems they got their start many years ago creating exhaust for the Volkswagen tuning scene and since then they've added things like the muscle car market under their belt as well as some amazing exhaust for some supercars from brands like Mclaren, Bentley and Porsche now they brought everything they've learned over the years to the table and have begun crafting some amazing exhaust for us for the wrangler and the Gladiator they also happen to be based right here in Pennsylvania in fact they're only about a half hours drive up the road from us here in West Chester they're based in horsham Pennsylvania that means when you buy an exhaust from AWE you're getting a 100 American-made product in fact they do everything under one roof now when we took the trip up to check out their facility just a few short weeks ago we got to see how they're doing everything from research and design to cnc mandrel bending welding fitment as well as dyno testing and even warehousing all under the same roof and that allows AWE to offer some really unique features with their products like their lifetime warranty as well as their 100 fitment guarantee when you buy an AWE exhaust you can rest assured knowing that it's going to bolt right up the first time with no modifications required AWE currently offers three different exhaust systems for the Gladiator you have your choice of their trail edition exhaust that offers a simple turn down on the driver's side very similar to the factory exhaust with the turndown it's going to give you the highest level of clearance for off-roading while still giving you the best sounding and performing exhaust you can then jump up to their tread edition single exit exhaust which is going to add on a nice black polished finish tip exiting from the driver's side behind the rear axle just under your rear fender flare then from there you can check out their dual exit tread addition exhaust that i have here on the table which is going to add the additional piping needed to get you a second exit over here on the passenger side again behind the rear axle just underneath that fender flare no matter which one of those three systems you choose all of them are crafted from the same t304l stainless steel now if you're not familiar with 304l stainless steel you have your standard 304 stainless and from there you have l which that l stands for lower carbon content that means that the exhaust that you're going to get from AWE is going to stand up to the elements it's not only going to look and sound great right out of the box but it's going to last for many years to come all three of these cat-back systems will feature a resonated mid-pipe as well as all the other cnc mandrel-bent piping that you need for the exhaust system they are also going to include AWE's signature 180 technology muffler this muffler design offers a straight through design with no internal baffling to give you the best sounding and best performing exhaust with absolutely positively no annoying drone from the exhaust system now if you do choose the dual exit exhaust you're also going to get the additional hangers and all the hardware you need to get your exhaust system installed so why don't we go ahead and get started by ripping out that factory exhaust to get it out of the way at that point we can go ahead and start getting all of our piping installed and clamped down snugly just to hold it in place while we get everything aligned then we'll go ahead and add the new hanger here on the passenger side and finally install both of those tips once everything's perfectly aligned we can go ahead and tighten down all those clamps at this point the only thing left to do is to head outside for a sound test
