A tiny town in southeastern Utah 'Where adventure begins.'

It is a place where the land speaks to you. Where the red slickrock projects out almost forever past the horizon no matter which way you turn. Where you experience the amazing, drink adrenaline and only catch your breath once you conquer that last obstacle.

And then do it all again.

Because that's Moab, Utah.

For decades, four-by-four enthusiasts from across the globe have come to this speck on the map to experience some of the world's best off-roading trails that can only be found surrounding this tiny hamlet of just over 5,000 souls. It's a living, breathing adventure park filled with only the best scenery, along with the best possible test you could give your off-pavement driving skills.

But while Moab is a year-round destination spot for all sorts of trail junkies, one specific time seems to cause everyone in the Jeep realm to hit pause and focus their attention on the town.

This year, the 55th annual EJS is set for March 27-April 4 and Quadratec, once again, will be front and center providing daily event coverage from all over Moab and its surrounding trail system. This year's show is our 10th anniversary as a sponsor and to celebrate both that feat and our own 30th anniversary, we are taking our new Wrangler YJL build along for the ride. It will spend time with us at the Dixie 4 Wheel Drive Off Road Expo event March 30-31 as well as hitting numerous trails throughout the week.

Of course, what would EJS be without the presence of Jeep and its great concept vehicles. Traditionally, Jeep rolls those vehicles down US191 and into the Walker Drug parking lot — right in the center of town — on the Wednesday of EJS week, and we'll definitely be there throughout the day to provide comprehensive live walk arounds of these one-off vehicles, photos and interviews with Jeep designers.

Unfortunately, because of ongoing county health regulations, we are not able to have our annual Tuesday evening BBQ on the Grand County High School football field. However, we will be supplying every vehicle in our Wednesday and Thursday sponsored trail rides with a BBQ boxed lunch from Red Cliffs Lodge. And besides those lunches, we'll mix in with the 'just learning' group and get their thoughts, as relatively new Jeepers, about how their skills are improving because of these events. We know many of you out there are just starting out as well and advice is always helpful.

Finally, no Moab EJS would be complete without discovering some unexpected story or trail ride. It just seems to happen in the land where rocks are red and the chirps of aired down tires are everywhere.
