Plenty of fun this weekend at Rausch Creek Offroad Park, but more importantly plenty of fun for a noble and important cause - the fight against Breast Cancer.
Rausch hosted the 9th annual 'Topless for TATAs' wheeling event August 11-13 where somewhere around 1,000 Jeeps participated in a few days of wheeling, enjoyed the camaraderie of the Jeep community and interacted with many great Jeep product vendors. All proceeds for the event are donated straight to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
This wheeling event has grown tremendously over its nine years - from around 60 vehicles at the start to where it is today with a park crammed full of Jeeps and other 4x4 vehicles. Plenty of event volunteers not only donated to the cause, but also donated their time to keep everything running smoothly, while making sure all participants were safely able to enjoy the weekend. Yeah, there was some rain on Friday and Saturday, but - if anything - it only hardened the resolve of all the great people who attended.
Dozens and dozens of trail guides led their groups out each day and we were fortunate Saturday to catch up with Jankle Automotive's Mike Gardner, who took our group around the East and South part of Rausch for some medium-duty wheeling and great scenery.
So a big salute to everyone who attended the 9th annual Topless for TATAs wheeling event, as well as a huge thanks to all who organized everything and volunteered their services. The fight against Breast Cancer continues every day, but hopefully as everyone continues to donate and participate in events like this, the battle will be won in time.
