It’s been a few minutes, but our popular Jeeps and Java event returned with a seismic blast Sunday at our West Chester, Pennsylvania headquarters.
The weather felt more akin to something in late July or early August as temperatures climbed into the low 90s, but luckily there were a few splashes of rain to help cool things down a bit throughout the morning for the 400-plus Jeeps and around 1,000 people in attendance.
What didn’t cool down was the amount of Jeeps that kept sauntering up Saunders Lane and into our facility all morning long. From Scramblers, to CJ5s, all kinds of Wranglers and quite a few Gladiators, just about every type of Jeep was represented in the parking area.
One nice thing to see was just how well the Gladiator has intertwined itself into the community. When we last left off on Jeeps and Java, that new Jeep truck had just come on the market and there were only a handful around — so when one showed up at a Jeeps and Java event, it drew quite a bit of attention. This time around, there were probably 20-25 Gladiators throughout the lot and many were nicely modified with suspension kits, tires, racks, bumpers and the like.
Of course, like we said, there were all types of Jeeps present Sunday morning and the event has long prided itself on giving many new owners modification ideas, as well as the chance to talk with others on what those modifications entailed. Simply walking around the lot could get you dozens of wheel and tire ideas, numerous bumper looks and several styles of soft tops that differ from the stock version.
And the nice thing, everyone has time to talk about what they love about their Jeep over plenty of doughnuts and coffee.
For those in the northern Idaho and Oregon area, as well as eastern Washington, we will have our next Jeeps and Java on June 25, at the Northwest River Supplies Sporting Goods Store in Moscow, Idaho.
Please keep our Jeeps and Java page bookmarked and check back frequently as we will update with other Jeep and Java dates/times as they are finalized.
