MOAB, Utah — Our last full day in Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari was spent all over town as we had lunches to pass out, new concepts launching and people looking over our anniversary Wrangler YJL at the Dixie Off Road Expo.
Normally during EJS, we put together a BBQ event Tuesday night on the Grand County High School football field. However, this year we were unable because of health regulations. So, Red Cliffs Lodge stepped up and offered to create lunches for our EJS-sponsored First- and Second-Timers trail runs Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday's first-timers run was at Buttes & Towers and we met up with the group during its drivers meeting just off US 191 and Route 313 north of Moab to collect and pass out the lunches to an impressive 60-strong group.
Following the driver's meeting, we headed back into town for the Jeep Concept reveal at the Walker Drug parking lot right in the middle of Moab. There we got to check out Farout, Orange Peelz, Commando Beach and Magneto, as well as the production Wrangler 392 and soon-to-be-produced Wagoneer.
Meanwhile, day two at the Dixie Off Road Expo was gearing up with much warmer weather and a full crowd looking at products from many of the Jeep aftermarket's top manufacturers, while also stopping by our booth to see the anniversary YJL. All day we handed out die-cast YJ Sahara replicas, hats, stickers and magnets, while being able to listen to all kinds of Moab EJS stories from attendees.
