You've heard all about the overlanding craze, right? If not, well, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Part camping, part off-road, all fun — this overlanding thing is. A great way to get away for a few days, weekend, week, or whatever. Now, true overlanding is really all about the journey and not the destination. It is throwing caution to the wind and disappearing off the road into the unknown, for weeks at a time, and living right out of your vehicle. The kind of thing where you start off at point 'A' and know, at some point, you'll end up at point 'B', but no normal roads are really involved. However, for most of us, overlanding can be that weekend camping trip into the mountains, forest, or desert. A place where the road to your campsite isn't paved, or smooth, and where you can throw that tent up and enjoy nature at full blast.
Over the years during the SEMA show, overlanding products have gone from a fringe element you may have seen in, or on, a few vehicles, to something where you can't really walk five feet without bumping into a vehicle with a tent, or some other overlanding product like a trailer, camper or rack/storage system. We saw a lot of great set ups during our days at SEMA last week, and some of our favorites were by Napier as well as Cliffride.
