No rain, wind, or any other sort of Mother Nature issues occurred Tuesday during this year's annual Easter Jeep Safari Quadratec BBQ.
We may be a little biased, but we can't think of anything better than pulling up a chair on the Grand County High School football field and eating some fine food from Red Cliffs Lodge after a long and tiring day on the trail. While most years we have great weather, last year the skies opened and rain tried to put a damper on proceedings. We were hoping to get back to sunny ways this year and were not disappointed.
Originally started as a way to thank all the hard working volunteers from the Red Rocks 4 Wheelers Association, our BBQ marked its eighth incarnation Tuesday, and has grown over the years to include those who register for sanctioned trail runs during the EJS, as well as industry vendors, media and, yes, sometimes even people we meet on the trail. This year, over 1800 people turned out.
A huge thank you from Quadratec to everyone who showed up. We enjoyed your company. And for our vendors - many of whom brought their company vehicles to show off - we certainly appreciate your support and time.
