We have a 99 TJ Sport, 4.0, NP231 with JB Conversions Super Short SYE and Tom Woods CV drive shafts, and 40,000 mostly trail miles that we built to tackle just about any terrain in God’s country (Idaho) or at least get us places most people are afraid to go (including me sometimes). It starts off with a Mutt lift, 37”X14.5 Toyo Open Country MTs on Allied Mock Lock rims with Klune-V tire deflators, Dana 30 front axle with Teraflex Hi-Steer Kit, Poison Spyder diff cover, and Dana 44 rear axle both with 4:88 gears and ARB air lockers, Currie AntiRock Offroad Sway bar in front and gave the rear sway bar to Chuck (trash). Custom front stinger winch mount bumper with XD9000i and lights, This and That Customs “Phantom Fender” front fenders, custom rock sliders, LED blinker and taillights, custom rear receiver bumper. Under the hood has a custom intake with AEM high flow filter, yellow top Optima, TB spacer, ARB compressor, misc. relocated electronics and windshield fluid bottle for added real estate for compressors and tool boxes, custom exhaust with Banks torque tube header with Flowmaster Super 40 muffler that dumps right behind skid plate for muffler protection. Cowl mounted Hi-Lift, lights on windshield, Hardtop for December, Header style Safari top for January through November with grab handles and custom painted dash panels, Hurst shifter for stoplight to stoplight wheeling in town, 750 watt power inverter for margaritas on the trail (non-alcoholic of course), Rubicon Express hand throttle, CB radio, CD player, Sony speakers for added climbing ability. Various stickers added for increased fuel mileage and torque at 8000 RPM. We retained the rear seat for the pit crew during trail repairs
