Thanks to my friend & neighbor Mark S., (whose PA blue, 1995 YJ is among the Readers Rigs), for guiding me to Quadratec.com and making my first Jeep experience an easier one! This 1995 Jeep Sahara was found close to home and in relatively good condition. It was disassembled, painted and reassembled over a period of 4 weeks, using spare time after my day job and some long very long weekends. Two friends with garage space and lots of labeled storage bins kept everything in order until I could bolt it back together and drive it home again. It's our first Jeep, has been a great deal of fun and most certainly won't be my last. My wife even enjoys driving the little Jeep more than our Harley! Some pics of a work in progress to a drivable unit that it is today...

Empty out the tub and new body mounts for starters. It's slightly tired springs received a modest shackle lift. The notorious cracked 4.0 Jeep manifold was replaced, along with the remainder of the exhaust system. A liberal coat of DuPont bedliner applied to the tubs interior and a Jeep PU7 base coat clear coat to all parts shiny on the exterior. The inner panels, including the windshield were painted off the Jeep and reinstalled before the final top coat was applied. All seat hardware, gas pedal assembly and soft top mounts refreshed with gloss black paint. All nuts, bolts and fasteners were either replaced or repainted and reinstalled with Anti-seize compound. A set of Jeep Grizzly rims replaced the stock steel rims, making the BFG 30 x9.50 tires more appealing. Finally, a new soft top with tinted rear windows was added to complete our summer time Sunday driver. Hats off to Quadratec for being the most complete and reasonably priced supplier of Jeep parts hands down!

Best regards.
