I bought this Jeep new in 74 and it was time to do a ground up rebuild. Thanks to Quadratec where I got almost 85% of the parts. I put a 3 1/2" lift with black diamond shocks, ARB locker, painless wiring, Bestop seats and soft-top. Boxed in the frame and coated it with POR 15 four step product. Fabricated a cross member and both front and rear bumpers. Built a new full roll cage. I put Line-X on the entire inside of the tub. I had the 15"x10" steel rims powder coated and the 3/16" diamond plate corner panels powder coated. I replaced all bolts and screws with stainless steel button heads. Replaced all gauges. Replaced the original drum brakes with 4 wheel disc and added in the micro brake valves for the front and rear system. I have them hooked up to 2 switches one switch on the dash holds the brakes on full time till I turn them off and the 2nd switch is a button on the shifter at the top that is on as long as I hold the button down. Added a 2nd fuel tank with an electric switch for easy tank choice. Rick S. is the owner (right) but the brains and talent that transformed this Jeep is my friend Kent L. (left).
