If you were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to take a trip to some obscure place that you had never been to before, and you would never be able to visit again, you would welcome an opportunity to talk to those who had made the trek before. If every one of them said, "I sure wish I had brought some widgets," you would load yourself down with widgets wouldn't you?
To those of you who are fathers, being a parent is a once in a lifetime trip you do not get to do over, and no old man in the history of the world ever said, "I wish I spent more time under the hood of my Jeep," "If only I had spent a little more time at the office," or "I truly regret missing a couple of Super Bowls."
