If you are looking for a replacement ignition lock with the same key way as original equipment, don't choose this one. This is better suited for someone who is not into a correct restoration project and just needs an ignition lock.

This switch would not engage the starter after installation. It would turn on the radio, heater and other auxiliary items. Would not turn over far enough to engage the starter. With the steering wheel off I put the old one in and it worked fine. I slid it out put this one it and It would not engage the started did this 4-5 times with the same result. Just does't seem to work as a factory replacement. 1988 YJ
