Description
Rick Russell's 4 Wheeling Basics was taped on the Hummer off road test facility in South Bend, Indiana. Rick also uses the classroom to introduce driving techniques then heads out to the test track in a Ford Explorer to demonstrate each technique. Rick's Explorer is accompanied by a Grand Cherokee, CJ-5, CJ-7 and, of course, a Hummer. Subjects covered include: 4WD components, trip preparation, guidelines, rules, climbing hills, backing down hills you don't make, descending hills, side hilling, crossing a ditch and driving techniques in a variety of terrain (mud, sand, water, snow, and rocks).
