Description
While steel winch cables are exceptionally strong, safety precautions must be observed to avoid injury in the event of cable failure. Such breakage can result in a violent whiplash effect that can harm people and equipment in a split second. Manufactured from heavy duty vinyl, the ARB winch cable damper is designed to absorb most of the recoil in the unlikely event of cable breakage.

Pretty good product, not cheaply made. Haven’t had my winch break so I don’t know it’s effectiveness. But seems to be of good quality.

I love this ARB Cable Damper. Thin and fairly flexible so that it stows easily without taking up valuable storage space. Yet, it is very dense making it 'heavy' for winchline safety. My 1997 Warn M8000 still has wire-rope, so I need this sort of safety equipment.
