Mounted this winch in the front bumper of my 2016 JKU Rubicon HR. It was a tight fit, but it fit (mounted it on a Maximus3 mounting plate). Yesterday was its first day to perform, and it performed spectacularly!!! I got stuck in a puddle that was deeper, and muddier, than it appeared. My Jeep was up to its underbelly in mud and up to just above the floor mats in water—and every turn of the wheels made it worse! I pulled out the wireless control device, which I hadn't charged in months, and to my surprise, it had plenty of charge. I turned it on, navigated the display to the clutch release icon, hit it, manually spooled-out what I needed, hooked up, sat back inside my JK, hit the spool-in icon, and in seconds I was able to drive out. The winch pulled me out with ease! If you're off-roading, or just live in a rough terrain/rough weather area, this thing is a must!

can the wire rope be swapped out for a synthetic line ? Thanks jimmy
Yes, as long as you also change the fairlead to a compatible hawse style fairlead along with the new winch line. Thanks for your inquiry.
