OMIX 17739.02 15-Gallon Gas Tank Strap for 87-90 Jeep Wrangler YJ

Does NOT fit 1989 YJ Islander 20gal gas tanks. I have the original gas tank and skid plate. I only bought these because when I was redoing my fuel system, the original straps broke. The original straps are 1 1/4” wide and approximately 27” long with a felt like material where they contact the tank. The replacement straps are 2” wide and approximately 25” long without any sort of padding between the sharp edges of the strap and the plastic tank. The new straps rub on the tank because they’re much too wide and are also much too short for the supplied bolts to reach. Do not waste over $50 plus shipping on a pair of these unless you’re interested in a little customization.
