Does this eliminate the EGR?
This is a factory replacement carburetor and will function as the original system does, with the electric choke.

Yes, this Carter 1-Barrel Carburetor YF, 32/36mm DGEV Weber is designed to fit: 83 CJ5 2.5L AMC, 83-1986 CJ7 2.5L AMC, 83-1986 CJ8 2.5L AMC and 1987-1988 Wrangler 2.5L auto or manual transmission. If you have an Automatic then it just requires linkage kit Weber part # 99007.551
