OMIX Steel Dash Panel Reviews
I waited for this dashboard for about 7 months since OMIX didn’t have it in stock. When I recieved it I was instantly disappointed with it. OMIX says on their website (which I should have read sooner) that you should expect it to be bent, visible welds, and need work to make it fit. The spot welds can be covered with filler but I’m going to have to cut the gauge panel mounting tabs off and re-weld it because it’s crooked by 1/4”. The gauge panel is the worst part, the gauge holes have the centering slots cut off center, the corners are square when they should be round, and the bead rolled edge is going to have to be reshaped by hand. I haven’t attempted to mount it to the body yet. The only reason I didn’t give it a 1 star is that the glovebox door seems to work as it should and the metal is a good thickness. If you can fix your old dash or find an original replacement, it’s worth it to spend a little more. I wouldn’t recommend this one.
