Select Increments XJ-Pod Sub Woofer Enclosure Reviews
Just as described. Easy install. Fast delivery. Competitive pricing.
I knew I wanted to complete this install as the bass was lacking in my 95 XJ. I replaced the headliner in the summer of 2018. Purchased enough material to complete the headliner, visors, rear separate soundbar and for a future XJ Pod. Turned out well. Sounds good with no rattles. See uploaded pictures for reference.
Many reviews on the interweb complained of rattling and poor fitment. To combat this here are a few recommendations:
Before installing the headliner, I sound deadening the roof. Nothing to fancy. I used Frost King's self adhesive insulation. $20 at Home Depot.
Completely packed the space behind the right rear (RR) panel with insulation.
Before using the 6 provided self-taping screws and having removed the RR panel, I fitted the XJ Pod to the panel and screwed the unit from the inside out. This "sucked" the XJ Pod into the space using only 4 screws. 1 at each corner of the unit.
Lastly, I installed the RR panel, then used the provided screws to further affix the XJ Pod as per the directions. Nice and tight to the panel with no gaps, thus no rattles.
Enjoy.
it fits great just havent hook it up yet
Good product work as it should.
